WPPI Energy’s distribution services staff supports member utilities in a wide range of different capacities. The experienced and knowledgeable engineering professionals provide support for delivery points, fiber optics, management needs, operational and technical assistance, construction and design recommendations, and 24- hour emergency coordination.
In addition, distribution services assists with metering, thermal imaging, radio interference resolution, RFP development, review of consultant reports and proposals, and member projects.
WPPI Energy’s joint purchasing program offers member utilities access to an online catalog of transmission and distribution materials, ranging from transformers to nuts and bolts. Many utility services are also available through the joint purchasing program, including weed spraying, truck testing, infrared testing and more. Benefits of the joint purchasing programs include lower costs, improved lead times, and one stop shopping for many utility service and product needs.
