Community at a glance

Boscobel is located on Highway 61 along the beautiful Wisconsin River. Boscobel is the Wild Turkey capital of Wisconsin and the historic birthplace of the Gideon Bible.

Each August, Boscobel is the site of an authentic Civil War re-creation featuring a ladies garden party, fashion show, Civil War era ball and pie social, children's activities, band concerts, period church service, first person impressions, medical history demonstrations and, of course, Union and Confederate camps. This activity-filled weekend event has become a favorite for families as well as the serious history buff.
