Benefit Plan Trust
In 1995, WPPI Energy created the Benefit Plan Trust as a separate entity to sponsor benefit plans, purchase administrative services, establish contracts with provider networks and to secure stop-loss coverage.
The Trust is a cost-effective alternative to conventional and self-insured programs, using the combined purchasing power of participants to gain economies of scale.
Through the Trust, participating utilities and municipalities have an active role in determining and administering their health care plans and benefits.
